Sarah Rosales is a current B.M Vocal Performance student under the tutelage of Leanne Freeman-Miller at Drake University. Known for her dynamic range across both the opera and musical theater industries, Sarah has been lighting up stages for almost a decade. Most recently she was seen on CNN Live internationally as the national anthem singer for the 7th Democratic debate held at Drake University. Her opera credits include Die Zauberflöte (Queen of the Night) with the International Lyric Academy, Così fan Tutte (Despina), and Falstaff (ensemble) with Drake Opera Theater. Sarah also has received 1st place on numerous occasions by the NATS vocal competition and was a finalist in the MIOpera vocal competition this past fall. She is a recipient of the Paul Anthony award.

Sarah’s musical theater credits include works such as Rocky Horror Picture Show (Magenta), The Laramie Project (Zackie Salmon), Songs for a New World (Woman 2), and Carousel (Armity) with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. In 2018 she was a resident artist for the Iowa Shakespeare Experience, originating the roles of Wikela/Luna in the world premiere of Tempest Tossed Tales. In summer of 2019 she was a featured artist with Progress Iowa’s hit sold out show The Sound of Progress. She has worked with and been recognized by many professionals including Michael Heaston (Rice University), Chris Mann (The Voice) Eric Ferring (Chicago Lyric Opera), Gordon Ostrowski (Manhattan School of Music), Broadway professionals Telly Leung, Laura Benanti, Shoshana Bean, and also film star Jennifer Garner.
